Thanks to the integrated flow straightener in the measuring block, the VA 521 does not require any inlet section. Additionally, it can be used in limited installation spaces due to its compact design.

The internal thread integrated in the measuring block makes the VA521 very easy to install and remove.

In most cases, the compressed air is not free of oil, condensate, dirt or particles. Over time, this leads to contamination of the sensor tips. As a result, measurement errors can occur, but in worst case this can also lead to total failure. Consumption meters currently on the market cannot usually be cleaned and are replaced when they become dirty.

The design of the VA 521 allows easy removal of the sensor. Thus, the sensor can be cleaned without removing the measuring section. A sealing cap ensures that the line can continue to be used for the time of cleaning. A bypass line is not necessary. The design ensures that the measuring unit can be installed in the correct position after cleaning.

The robust stainless steel sensor tip is ideal for harsh industrial use. It is protected against mechanical damage during installation or removal. The ridges around the thermal sensor element provide protection against dirt particles, rust or other mechanical abrasion in compressed air lines. With a pressure tightness of up to 40 bar, the VA 521 is perfectly suited for use in compressed air or technical gases. The electronics of the VA 521 are separated from the process by a robust glass passivation and thus protected from water or condensate or other contaminants.

All necessary settings during initial installation can be set on site via the keypad. These include the selection of the unit, resetting the main counter, zero point adjustment or creep quantity suppression, reference conditions, etc.
