The FA 510 / 515 dew point sensor enables reliable and long-term stable dew point monitoring in industrial applications.

The FA 510 / 515 is a pressure dew point sensor. It measures the dew point at the respective pressure, up to 50 bar and in special version up to 500 bar.

When installed in atmospheric conditions (ambient pressure) or in the downstream area (expanded air), the atmospheric dew point is measured accordingly.

The relative humidity and the temperature are measured via two sensor elements and the dew point is calculated. From this measurement, further units can be calculated and also output.

The dew point measurement is independent of the medium and can be carried out in various non-corrosive gases.

The sensor element is insensitive to dew and can even be cleaned by the user himself, with deionized water or a cleaning alcohol.

The sensor can be easily installed and uninstalled via a quick coupling and a suitable measuring chamber. This is particularly useful when the compressed air supply cannot be shut off or when the gauge needs to be recalibrated or cleaned.

The measuring chamber also protects the sensor from contamination from the main flow. A partial flow is diverted through the measuring chamber into the environment, ensuring that fresh process air is always flowing around the sensor element, resulting in a faster response time to humidity changes in the system.

The measured values were recorded with an FA 510 (-80...+20°Ctd) and visualized with CS Basic software.

The measurement curve reflects the behavior of an adsorption dryer. An adsorption dryer usually has two drying chambers, which are filled with desiccant. If one chamber is saturated, the second one is flushed, which results in the specific dew point measurement curve.

Depending on the desiccant, as well as the type of dryer, dew points between -40 and -75°Ctd are generated.
