FO 510 - Oil moisture sensor

Humidity in Oil can have a significant impact on the performance and service life of oil systems. Excessive moisture can lead to corrosion, contamination and deposits, which in turn can lead to loss of performance, downtime and repair costs.

Measuring Humidity in Oil on a regular basis is therefore an important part of oil management. Water is not soluble in Technical oil. It forms an emulsion that is distributed throughout the Oil. If this emulsion becomes unbalanced, it can lead to problems such as corrosion, oxidation, deposits, loss of performance or a shortened service life.

Our new FO 510 oil condition sensor with capacitive moisture sensor offers a number of advantages.

  • High Accuracy: The capacitive sensor is very sensitive and enables accurate measuring of Humidity in Oil, even at low values.
  • Durability: The sensor is Robust and durable and can be used in harsh environments.
  • Easy installation: The Measuring devices is easy to install via a ½" thread.

Here are some examples of applications in which our FO 510 can be used:

  • Power plants: Measuring Humidity in turbine Oil is important to maintain turbine performance and lifetime.
  • Oil and gas industry: Measuring the Humidity of Oil in feed pumps and other equipment is important to prevent corrosion and deposits.
  • Manufacturing: Measuring Humidity in hydraulic oil and other lubricants is important to maintain the performance and life of machinery.
  • Transformer stations: Moisture in transformer Oil can affect the safety and life of the transformer.
