Dew point measurement on high-pressure systems and in breathing air

High-pressure systems compress the Compressed air to > 20 up to 200 bar. Such compressors are used, for example, for filling diving and breathing apparatus (e.g. fire department), i.e. wherever highly compressed, pure breathing air is required.

As the Pressure increases, so does the Pressure dew point in the high-pressure system. This also increases the likelihood of condensation forming.

Monitoring the Pressure dew point is essential, especially when filling breathing air cylinders, as the compressed breathing air is extremely cooled by expansion when the compressed air cylinder is used, moisture or ice can easily form at this point and block the valve paths.

Dew point sensors and the measuring chamber must be able to withstand these high pressures of up to 200 bar and more. The high-pressure measuring chamber and the Dew point sensor from CS INSTRUMENTS have been specially developed for this application up to 350 bar.
