Dew point set DS 400 for monitoring of medical compressed air

The monograph "Aer medicalis" in the supplement to the European Pharmacopoeia contains - in comparison to DIN EN 737-3 - significantly changed purity characteristics, whereby in particular the drastic lowering of the dew point temperature to -46°C atmospheric (this corresponds to 67 ppm V/V) leads to considerable difficulties. The value 67 ppm V/V for water corresponds to the condensation limit at a Pressure of 200 bar and a Temperature of 11 ºC. This limitation of the water content to the condensation limit is necessary because the condensation of water can cause corrosion damage and also favour the proliferation of germs.
