Leak detector LD 450

Gases under pressure escaping from Leakages in pipework systems (e.g. leaking screw connections, corrosion, etc.) produce noises in the ultrasonic range. With the Leak detector LD 450, even the smallest Compressed air leaks, which are inaudible to the human ear and invisible due to their size, can be located from a distance of several metres. The LD 450 converts ultrasound, which is inaudible to the human ear, into audible frequencies. With the comfortable, soundproof headphones, these sounds can also be heard in noisy environments.

The LD 450 leak detector is the further development of the tried-and-tested predecessor models LD 300 and LD 400 and impresses with its significantly refined sensor technology and improved support when detecting leaks. With the help of an integrated laser pointer, which serves as a target locator, the leak can be localised more precisely. Better focussing of the sound waves is achieved through the use of a specially designed sound funnel. This funnel acts like a directional microphone that bundles ultrasonic waves and thus improves the acoustic behaviour. The special design of the sound funnel does not hinder the use of the laser pointer.

The LD 450 complies with the requirements of Class I instruments of the standard "Standard Test Method for leaks using Ultrasonic" (ASTM Int. - E1002-05)
