The VD 500 is available for pipes from ¾'' to 20''. Due to its modular design, it can be ordered with different shaft lengths, making a single sensor compatible for a wide range of pipe diameters.

Easy installation under pressure.

Conventional flowmeters that are firmly screwed on via flanges, can only be installed or removed in a depressurised state. Especially with large pipe cross-sections, these devices are very heavy and expensive. The installation and removal is time-consuming. When removing these heavy, unwieldy measuring devices, a precisely fitting replacement piece is needed to close the line again and make it pressure-tight. Recalibration can be very complicated and is often ignored for the reasons mentioned above.

The VD 500 only requires a ball valve through which it can be tapped under pressure. The system does not have to be shut down. Due to the engraved depth scale, the VD 500 can be installed easily and accurately.

Pressure-tight drilling device and tapping clamp.

With the pressure-tight drilling device and a tapping clamp, a measuring point can be installed quickly and safely under pressure. This allows a consumption measurement to be set up at any point in the compressed air system.

No safety chain / no safety rope necessary.

The design of the VD 500, compared to many conventional insertion sensors that are fixed to the process with a safety rope or chain, prevents uncontrolled release when the sensor is installed or removed.

Setting directly on the display.

All necessary settings during initial installation can be adjusted on site via the keys. These include the setting of the unit, resetting the main counter, zero adjustment or creep flow suppression, reference conditions, etc.

Rotatable display view / use overhead.

The user can rotate the display head of the VD 500 180 ° on site when the flow direction is reversed. Furthermore, the display can be digitally rotated via the menu keys, e.g. if the sensor is installed upside down. In this way, the measured values can be viewed in any installation position.
