VC 600 Clamp-On Flow Sensor

Why Clamp-on?

100% process reliability —non-invasive, no drilling, no welding, no risk of contamination, and no need to re-qualify compressed air quality after installation.

90% time savings during installation— mountthe quick clamp system —attach the measuring unit—done!

100% safety— No risk from working on pressurized lines—no need to open the line—therefore no pressure limitation—installation possible at any time without interrupting operations.

100% leak-free— no seals and no direct contact with the process.

0% energy loss— no differential pressure caused by the measuring unit in the gas flow. No leaks.

Operation, parameterization, and data analysis are conveniently performed via the touchscreen or the CS SensorApp —ideal for hard-to-reach points of measurement and decentralized plant structures.

MEASURING PRINCIPLE

The VC 600 Sets New Standards in Clamp-On Flow Measurement

The VC 600’s unique signal processing and state-of-the-art algorithms enable a measuring range of 0.08 to 20 or 25 m/s starting at a pipe pressure of just 3 bar(g).

This significantly expands the VC 600’s range of applications compared to standard clamp-on sensors on the market. As a result, the VC 600 can be used for leak detection as well as for measuring very high flow rates starting at 3 bar of overpressure, with no maximum pressure limit.

The VC 600 measuring unit performs the calculation of the flow in Nm³/h at 0 °C and 1013 mbar, or ISO 1217 1000 mbar and 20 °C, based on the operating velocity in m/s. The required parameters—gas temperature and line pressure—can either be entered manually or measured using external pressure and temperature sensors.
