VC 600 Clamp-on Flow Sensor

Why clamp-on?

100% process reliability – Non-invasive, no drilling, no welding, no risk of contamination, no need to re-qualify the compressed air quality after installation.

90 per cent time saving during installation – fitthe quick clamp system – attach the measuring unit – done!

100% safety – No risk from working on pressurised pipes – no need to open the pipe – therefore no pressure restriction – installation possible at any time without interrupting operations.

100% leak-free – No seals and no direct contact with the process.

0% energy loss – no differential pressure caused by the measuring unit in the gas flow. No leaks.

Operation, parameterisation and data analysis are carried out conveniently via the touchscreen or the CS SensorApp – ideal for hard-to-reach points of measurement and decentralised plant structures.

MEASURING PRINCIPLE

The VC 600 sets new standards in clamp-on flow measurement

The VC 600’s unique signal processing and state-of-the-art algorithms enable a measuring range of 0.08 to 20 or 25 m/s, even at a pipe pressure as low as 3 bar(g).

This significantly expands the scope of application of the VC 600 compared with standard clamp-on sensors on the market. Consequently, the VC 600 can be used for leak measurement and also for very high flow rates from 3 bar of overpressure upwards, with no maximum pressure limit.

The VC 600 measuring unit performs a calculation of the flow in Nm³/h at 0 °C and 1013 mbar, or in accordance with ISO 1217 at 1000 mbar and 20 °C, based on the operating velocity in m/s. The required parameters – gas temperature and line pressure – can either be entered manually or measured via external pressure and temperature sensors.
